An exquisitely crafted book of short stories and rhyming verse tailored to kids and adult children alike, “Magical Bedtime Stories” serves as a whimsical literary lullaby for the dreamer to-be.

These short stories and poems by Píaras Ó Cíonnaoíth are an enjoyable and entertaining collection that will bring a smile to the faces of readers. The stories are fascinating and imaginative, and each one entertains and conveys insightful and thoughtful messages.

Through lulling rhymes, melodious stanzas, and pleasant themes, the reader or listener is gently catapulted across the stars into lady moon's soothing embrace until they are sound asleep.

With this wonderful collection by your or your child's bedside, sweet dreams will become a nightly reality and the word “bedtime” will inevitably bring anticipation.

There's a difference, for me, between poetry by adults for adults and poetry by adults for children that's isn't just the target audience. It's the writing style. Poetry for children embodies the whimsical and fantastical and magical that lessens as they grow, or maybe it's that it takes on a different dimension. It becomes darker, more violent.

Mr. Ó Cíonnaoíth captures what speaks to children and to the child in everyone. He puts together words that would otherwise be just words and creates an environment that is soothing and enchanting. Like Magical Bedtime Stories, the words in Peaceful call the reader to experience and indulge while encouraging rest of the body and mind.

I've learned since my high school years that a restless mind makes for interrupted sleep. Restful sleep is a blue moon occasion for me. I admit that I didn't read this to my five year old. I was a bit selfish with this collection. When I read it, I hadn't slept good in almost a month. I wanted to see if the subtitle, Sleep-Inducing Picture Poetry Book for Children Aged 3-103, could maybe apply to me. Surprisingly, my brain slowed its frantic pace enough for me to get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep which was a total godsend.

There are tips at the back of this book to promote a good night's sleep that I believe will help me and others like me, regardless of age. This is a terrific collection of poems and pictures and advice that can be applied to restless sleepers of all ages.
